National Coordinator of ServiCom, Mr. Sylbriks Obriki, who is also a Senior Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan, made the call in Abuja during the formal presentation of the organisation’s compliance evaluation of five federal universities in the country to the National Universities Commission (NUC).
Institutions evaluated are universities of Ibadan, Benin, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Port Harcourt and Uyo, with Ibadan emerging overall best after scoring 65 percent and ranking as a three star academic institution.
Obriki said reports of the peer review should be published regularly to enable universities consolidate on their strengths and improve on their weaknesses.  
The services window evaluated for the institutions are “admissions office, health services, academics, exams/records, student affairs, security, accommodation, library, registrar’s office and bursary.
While most of the schools scored high on fair admission processes and provision of sporting facilities, they mostly performed below expectations in the areas of equipment especially in the science faculties, hostels, laboratories, lecture halls, and positive engagement with students.
