Ambali stated this at the 2015 International Multidisciplinary Conference on Science, Technology, Education, Arts, Management and the Social Science (ISTEAMS Research Nexus) hosted by the university.
He noted that the multidisciplinary conference was in line with the university’s drive to ensure collaboration among various disciplines, especially in this era of globalisation.
“As globalisation has removed the artificial boundaries that have otherwise existed among people and nations, innovation in research endeavours should include conscious efforts to make academic disciplines meet at the border of development”, Prof. Ambali stressed.
In his keynote address, the former dean of the faculty of communication and information sciences Prof. Lenrie Aina observed that researchers and scholars in Africa researched to improve the quality of life, lamenting that there were no resultant innovations.
