VC urges students to prepare for life after graduation

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics, University of Benin (UNIBEN), Professor Abiodun Falogun, has called on graduating students to start thinking of what they will do after graduation and how to be successful in their chosen careers. Professor Falogun said during a seminar tagged ‘Life After School’ organized by the graduating students of the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, that student must prepare for the future by identifying a career and how to attain success. He decried the lack of adequate amount of jobs to absorb millions of youths that graduate from Nigerian tertiary institutions yearly. “This seminar is to display the anxiety in the minds of potential graduates and to prepare them to be committed and diligent in the work place and in life when they leave the university.
“Prepare yourself to be challenged. As you listen you’ll be greatly inspired to take the right push in whatever field of endeavor you’ve chosen for yourself,” he told the students.
