The Venezuela head of mission in Nigeria, Miguelangel Della Vecchia, yesterday pledged his country’s continued support for Nigeria in the area of agriculture technology.
He spoke in Abuja when parents of Nigerian students studying in his country paid him a courtesy visit.
He said a pact was signed in 1998 between Nigeria and his country on agricultural ties and assured that the agreement was still intact and would be respected.
He said the visit would allow the parents and the journalists to be better informed about his country. He said all negative news reports in the western media about Venezuela were being exaggerated.
 The envoy said the students studying in his country were selected by the Nigerian government but were solely sponsored by the Venezuela government.
He assured that such sponsorship would continue for Nigerians to have better understanding of his country.
