Veteran lifestyle journalist, Latasha Ngwube, recently hosted a luncheon at the Abuja Continental Hotel, under her brand “LatashaLagos”.

The event themed, “Invest in Women- Accelerate Progress”, drew a variety of women across different sectors in celebration of the progress gained in gender matters.

In a statement personally signed by her, Ngwube said the event was organized in honor of the International Women’s Day celebration, as marking it yearly with fellow women had become a sort of tradition for her.

“The event was organized in honor of IWD because marking it every year with fellow women has become a sort of tradition for me.

“I was spending the week in Abuja and I wanted to do something small but impactful with a different set of women and test the theory of us being from different places yet experiencing the same issues.

“Being born, raised and based in Lagos, it was exciting to be within a different community of female entrepreneurs and watch them rally around the businesses I had curated for spotlighting at the event,” the statement said.

She listed ways women can be empowered to include listening to each other, speaking out on, collaborations and sharing of information, pulling each other up and not gatekeeping etc.

The “LatashaLagos” brand champions fairness, uplifts people, amplifies women’s voices and causes, showcases talent and many more positive ventures.
