A statement signed by the spokesmen of UIMGA, Samsideen Adewusi, also urged the Committee of Vice Chancellors to intervene in the crisis to find a lasting solution and salvage the future of Nigerian youths.
“This call becomes necessary to prevent further jeopardisation of the future of Nigerian youths who are often regarded as the country’s future leaders,” Adewusi said.
Meanwhile the Anti Corruption Network (ACN) has given the Federal Government one week to resolve its dispute with striking lecturers failing which it would mobilize Nigerians to the streets and protest to the Ministry of Education.
Executive Secretary of ACN and former member of the House of Representatives, Dino Melaye, in a statement expressed disappointment at government’s lukewarm attitude and said that President Goodluck Jonathan should have opted for loans to offset the N92 Billion being demanded by ASUU.
