Like most Nigerians, iconic Nollywood actress, Kate Henshaw, is furious about the current fuel scarcity rocking the nation. The actress while fuming about the state of the nation urged Nigerians to ensure that they take their destinies into their hands.

She said, “I think at this stage we should all just take charge of what we want this country to be. For almost a month there has been no petrol. We were told that it was bad fuel that was brought in, and then we were told that they will bring good fuel. Now, it is the Russian-Ukraine war.

“It is so shameful and with all due respect; we have Mr President who doubles as the petroleum minister has jetted out to look after himself, nobody cares and we are just quiet. We are going to petrol stations fighting ourselves for a product that is not even there and we do not even know when it is going to come. Nigerians, it is time we take our destiny in our hands.”

Still ranting about the state of the nation, the actress despite her celebrity status noted that Nigerians are in ‘double trouble’ because when one goes out there is no petrol and when a person decides to stay at home, there is no electricity power supply.

She further urged her friends, fans and followers to get their PVCs and make the right decision during the 2023 general elections.

Henshaw said, “Go and get your PVCs. Stop listening to people that tell you that it does not matter or your vote does not count. If it does not count they will not buy your votes. They will not steal people’s PVCs and use them. We cannot continue like this, things are too bad. What are we going outside to do? You go outside there is no petrol, you stay at home there is no light. What is going on? Enough of the prayers. Let us just do what needs to be done. God is not going to come down from heaven and do what we are supposed to do.

“This country is so rich and prosperous but we are seeing all sorts of things from people who we elected to represent us and they are carrying on like they do not care. No heads have rolled for the bad petrol that came in. Nothing ever happens, no consequences whatsoever. But we are there managing. We manage until we enter the grave.”
