Gunmen in the early hours of Thursday stormed Chachi community around the Zuma Rock in Tafa LGA of Niger State, killed a vigilante simply identified as Baba, abducted a pregnant woman, her two children and her younger sister.
A resident, Usama Abdullahi, told City & Crime yesterday that the vigilante was attracted by the gunshots of the attackers who were trying to access a building.

He explained that, “They damaged the building with gunshots and other tools. They shot Baba around his shoulder and he was pronounced dead in the hospital about an hour later.
He added that the husband of the woman, a site manager, who seemed to be the target, was able to escape unhurt.
Contacted, the Suleja Police Area Commander, ACP Muhammad S Musa, confirmed the incident.
