Giving artists an opportunity to showcase their works to the outside world is what I have decided to do. I am not an artist but I feel the need to promote the arts more than what has been done so far for the sector.”

According to him there should be more individuals and government sector involved with the promotion of visual arts because, “it is an embodiment of tourism, commerce, environment and all that has to do with human existence.”

As one who has taken an interest in the sector, he said plans are underway to bring the art village together beginning with the gallery.

Ndidi Emefiele, a painter whose works are being exhibited, was pleased with the fact that a non artist has taken interest to promote the cause of visual artistes. “This gives exposure to my works and kind of art. Art has grown from the every day form to a more interesting pedestal. Having my works here gives me a lot of exposure as well as a forum for interaction.

The gallery will exhibit works of professionals and non professional artists from across the federation.
