WACS accredits Lafia hospital for residency training

The West African College of Surgeons (WACS) has fully accredited the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital (DASH) in Lafia, Nasarawa State, for full residency training in obstetrics and gynaecology surgery.

In a statement, the spokesperson of DASH, Deborah Ladi Dangara, said, “The WACS management announced the approval at the faculty meeting of the obstetrics and gynecology during the 60th General Meeting and Scientific Conference of West African College of Surgeons that was held in Abuja.”

Dangara said the management of DASH under the leadership of Dr. Hassan Ikrama on February 17, 2020, received the notification of the full accreditation approval for the department of obstetrics and gynaecology and surgery residency training.

The approval signifies a huge turn around in the activities of the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and that of Surgery of DASH.
