Waiting for Zamfara’s injustice to be addressed

Not to cause chaos despite the support of his people, especially the youths in the area, he again took the case to the Appeal Court where he again emerged victorious. The Appeal Court ordered for his immediate reassignment to his position alongside his councillors to complete their tenure (18 Months) but still the state government under Gov. Mamuda Shinkafi is not ready to obey the Appeal Court ruling on the case.

The question is if the federal government can accept the Appeal Court’s ruling in places like Anambra (the case of Peter Obi), Edo (the case of Adams oshiomhole), Rivers ( the case of Rotimi  Ameachi) Ondo ( the case of Olusegun Mimiko) etc mostly under the present Yar’adua administration, what stops Gov. Shinkafi from following suit for the benefit of our nascent democracy?

Remember the saying of Sheikh Usman bn Fodiyo that “society can survive with unbelief but cannot progress with injustice”. We are glad to have judges like Justice Musa Dattijo of the Court of Appeal, Sokoto. We look forward to seeing Hon. Gyalenge and his Councillors back to their offices immediately as the court of law had ruled.
