The author, who recently completed his second tenure as president of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), said the book was conceived as a biography but had to be fictionalised because of its “very sensitive and potentially explosive content”. The award winning author however pledged that the fictionalised memoirs will prove a poignant and interesting read about the political realities in Nigeria.

The presentation, which will hold at the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs, Victoria Island, will have in attendance governors of Lagos, Oyo and Ondo States as well as Speaker of the House of Representative, Hon. Dimeji Bankole, while Action Congress stalwart, Chief Bisi Akande will be the Father of the day. Serving members of the National Assembly have also been pencilled down to attend the event.

Okediran, who apart from being a medical doctor and founder of Cornerstone Hospital, Ibadan, was a member of the House of Representatives between 2004 and 2007.  He has about half a dozen books to his name and his short fictions have been widely published. He will be in the nation’s capital, Abuja, February 11 for a reading at the Shehu  Yar’adua centre.
