Ambassador Wali, who made the call while addressing staff when he assumed duty, said that is the only way to advance the noble course of Nigeria’s Foreign Policy.
He thanked President Goodluck Jonathan for considering him worthy of the ministerial appointment adding that he would endeavour to justify the confidence reposed in him.
Wali also appreciated the efforts of the Minister of the State 1 and Supervising Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prof. Viola A. Onwuliri for the excellent manner she handled the affairs of the ministry, before his appointment.
Earlier, Prof Onwuliri commended the minister for his achievements in his previous positions especially when he served as Nigeria’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) between 2004 and 2007.
Also the Permanent Secretary Ambassador Martin Uhomoibhi pledged the support and commitment of members of staff.
