The Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, has called on the Federal Government to halt its plan to launch ‘Operation Crocodile Smile’ in the Southwest.
The Yoruba leaders at a meeting in the house of their leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti in Akure yesterday, condemned the announcement by the military to launch Operation Crocodile Smile in the Southwest region after the Python Dance in the Southeast.
Briefing newsmen at the end of the meeting, spokesman for the group, Yinka Odubakin said although the authorities said Operation Crocodile Smile was being planned to confront the badoo menace, Afenifere’s position was that the badoo gang had been decimated by the Nigeria Police and the OPC.
