The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Udufu-Alike in Ikwo local government of Ebonyi state said it has expelled about four hundred students in just one year.

According to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Chinedum Nwajiuba, the students affected failed to secure the required grade set by the management of the university after examinations.

“It is an academic institution where examinations are properly set, scripts are property marks, lecturers’ grades are scrutinised and if your GDP is not enough, you will not be qualify to be in the institution.

"So getting grades here is not so common, you have to read hard to earn it; just last year we expelled 400 hundred students. lt is not a joke; it is a university by world class standard,” the VC said.
