The Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Yemi Osinbajo has said that his party would sweep the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) out of office in 2015 because there is too much hunger and unemployment I n the land.

Osinbajo made the statement yesterday at the Town Hall meeting with stakeholders in the informal sector, held at the Lagos Television (LTV) ground, Ikeja.

He said every living Nigerian has seen that there is hunger and unemployment everywhere across the country, adding that a government that could not create employment for the people or feed its people is not fit to remain in office.

Osinbajo said, “Only people who want hunger to continue will want PDP to

continue in office. They have failed Nigerians in all ramifications. PDP don’t know how to manage our resources and economy. We will show them how

to do it.”

He called for prayers from Nigerians ahead of the forthcoming general elections, saying; “The challenges before the country and the critical time the country is approaching require concerted efforts and prayer of all well-meaning Nigerians.

Earlier, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola had told the stakeholders that President Goodluck Jonathan has betrayed the trust Nigerians had in him because he failed to deliver on many promises he made before he was voted into power office in 2011.

Fashola called for a debate between the presidential candidates of the two main political parties, saying: “We want a debate; the time of I have no shoe is over. It’s time for debate. I am ready to defend the record of my eight years in office.”
