The life of a Yahoo boy (and girl) is one filled with misery; it is full of deception as well. One might think their struggle is legitimate because they appear innocent to the public. You can hardly identify who a yahoo boy (and girl) is. This is because they are everywhere – among us, within us and from us the society, but what we don’t know is how they get the money to buy those big, expensive and luxurious homes, cars, jewellery, mobile phones, laptops and many more. But then, the tide turns when they are caught. Consider this a passionate appeal; you can become successful in a legitimate manner. I want Nigerian youths to always remember that this country was built on the sweat and strength of youths. Their legitimate contributions to the development, progress and success of Nigeria is immense.  They don’t have to go to jail; there are a lot of ways to earn a decent living.  Internet fraud damages the image of the country and scares prospective foreign investors.

On different occasions, statistics have shown that people within and outside see us as “a corrupt” people and this is not right.  We must stop celebrating people who made money through illegitimate means. That will go a long way in checking the problem.
