The Director Liwa FC, Abudabi Mohammed Mustapha, has added his voice to the growing anxiety gripping football fans in Nigeria as to whether the Super Eagles will qualify for the 2026 World Cup and the 2025 AFCON.
Mustapha while speaking in Abuja at the weekend described the situation as ugly and urged the Nigeria Football Federation to get their acts together ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifier starting next weekend.
“They should sort things out because this is Nigeria and we are not talking anything less than we qualifying for both the Nations Cup and the World Cup.”
Mustapha, a FIFA license intermediary, also believes that youths will shun crime and vices if they are meaningfully engaged.

He has set out to empower at least 2000 youth in the FCT by providing them with skills that can help them gainfully employed.
“In this country, we don’t have to leave everything to the government alone, we the youth need to stand up.
“So, I got motivated and I said as a sports person, if I can start up something like this, I’m also contributing my own quota to the development of youth in the country.”
