The ambassador made the call in Athens, Greece when he hosted the leadership of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC) and members of the Conference of States, comprising the Chairmen and Secretaries of the Christian Pilgrims Welfare Boards in the states to a dinner in his official residence recently.
According to a statement from the NCPC, the ambassador said he was happy that the NCPC team was in Greece and there was need to pray for Nigeria in order to overcome its present security challenges.
“We the followers have the responsibility to pray for our leader because the situation of the country needed divine intervention,” he said. Earlier, the Executive Secretary of NCPC, Mr. John Kennedy Opara told the envoy that the delegation from NCPC were able to see the sights that would be used for this year’s pilgrimage and were satisfied.
