There is an urgent need to improve the agricultural sector and that is why I am making an appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to boost mechanised farming and ensure that it gets to the rural areas.  This can help to curb unemployment and also check the crime rate in the country.

Buhari did something like this before; when he launched his Back-to-Land Programme, which recorded tremendous success during the short period he served as a Military Head of State.

It would be a timely intervention, if this could be replicated now at this critical moment that the country is in dire need of aggressive agricultural revolution.

The re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari, is a seal of approval by the masses and he should do everything possible to make them proud.

There is no greater gesture than taking a giant step towards boosting mechanised farming.

It will go a long way in liberating rural farmers from the laborious burden of boring drudgery.

This will also help in curbing the menace of evil the cycle of rural banditry.
