The Chairman of Kuje Area Council, Abdullahi Suleiman Sabo, has disclosed that the council shall earmark the sum of N2 million for payment of teachers promotion arrears.

Sabo, who stated this while addressing teachers during a delegate conference in Kuje yesterday, also said the council would commence fencing of the extension of the Local Education Authority (LEA) office in the area.

He assured that he  would give adequate priority to teachers welfare in order to boost their morale, adding that with collective support of stakeholders, his administration would succeed in improving the standard of education in the area.

“Permit me to also at this juncture  reiterate our support for the betterment of teachers welfare and educational sector as these are not just necessary but compulsory as far as our administration is concerned, ” he said.

The chairman, therefore,  called on teachers to put in more effort in the course of discharging their duties.

Also speaking, the secretary of LEA in the council, Mr Bulus Danladi,  appreciated the chairman for his tireless effort and prayed for God to give him wisdom and strength to actualize his dream for the good people of Kuje area council.
