A youth group under the aegis of Voice of Unity (VOU) has vowed to eradicate illiteracy among the youths irrespective of tribal, ethnic and religious affiliations in the area.

The president of the group, Comrade Jude M. Gwani Igu, who stated this during the group’s executive meeting in Kwali, yesterday, said the youth would also ensure that the issue of tribalism in the area was completely eradicated.

He said the association, which mostly comprised youth across various tribes in the area, was formed with exceptional insights about life and humanity as well as how to resolve issues that affect the youth negatively in their immediate environment and the world at large.

“And this youth group’s objective also includes eradicating tribalism, religious differences as well as raising the education status among our youths,” he added.
