The Medical Director of Epe General Hospital in Lagos, Dr. Bamidele Mustapha, says lack of stable electricity supply has been a great challenge to the smooth running of the facility.
The MD, who spoke with Eko Trust when the hospital rewarded its staff at its end of year party held last week at the hospital, said electricity remained a major challenge to the hospital.

He disclosed that the hospital spends N131,200 daily, about N3.9 million monthly, to buy diesel to power its generators.
He said with stable power supply, the money would have been deployed into other areas to provide healthcare to the people.
According to him, the hospital only gets electricity supply of between two and three hours daily, and which usually comes after midnight.
He said the hospital also required a new ambulance for seamless movement of patients, especially on referral.
Bamidele commended the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his commitment to qualitative healthcare delivery.
