It is obvious that at the moment, many Nigerians are angry with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) for embarking on strike, but that does not mean the union should be scrapped.  There is no way we can do away with the NLC or Civil Society Organizations, if indeed we are practising democracy. Subsidy in itself is not a bad policy, the only problem with the subsidy on petrol is that it is being mismanaged.  The NLC is just worried about the plight of the masses and it should not be crucified for doing its duty of protecting workers. I was particularly convinced by the Leader of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila, on the need for subsidy removal and I urge many other Nigerians to see reasons.
