The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Abdullahi Adamu Candido, has said members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the council are fully in support of the stance of President Muhammadu Buhari on ballot box snatchers.

Candido, during a meeting with party stakeholders and ward chairmen in Apo on Wednesday, said the president was right to have made the remarks, adding that there was nothing to suggest that it was an invitation to jungle justice as everyone should be desirous of a Nigeria that can stand the test of time.

“We are all decent in APC and you will never find any culprit in APC. If it is my child that goes to do the wrong thing during the election, he should be ruthlessly dealt with,” he said.

He said AMAC chapter of APC with partnership with the area council totally support President Muhammadu Buhari’s policy statement which centres on stringent measures that should be taken against political hoodlums.’

“This council is in full support of that position that any hoodlum or ballot box snatcher on election day should be severely and ruthlessly dealt with so that it will serve as a deterrent to others in the coming elections,” he added.

Candido also directed all the party agents in the presidential elections at the weekend to stay at their polling units and ensure that results were collated and same was transferred to the ward collation centres.
