Lalong, who responded to several allegations made by a group known as the Plateau PDP Youth Forum which accused him of re-awarding a N1.8 billion contract for the renovation of Government House Rayfield and other issues, said credible opposition for which the APC looks forward to is for the PDP to be constructive in its criticism, urging members of the PDP to be patient and see his APC government do what it has been unable to do for the citizens of the state.
Lalong, through his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Samuel Emmanuel Nanle, at the weekend, described as hypocritical the PDP which operated from four different government houses all renovated with “billions of naira despite the lean resources of the state to be concerned about planned renovation of an old government house to save cost on the billions of naira needed to complete the little Rayfield Government House for which about N16 billion has been ploughed in without completion.”
It denied that the governor planned to abandon the new government house but stressed that he would not be engaged in the completion of the new government house at the expense of basic social welfare needs of the citizens.
