Gov. Seyi Makinde

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde Friday assured Osun State indigenes working in Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso of their job security.

The governor was speaking against the backdrop of the resolution of the lingering ownership crisis of the institution between Oyo and Osun states which was resolved in favour of the former (Oyo).

Makinde, while giving the assurance, said funding would not pose difficulty for the state as it had been captured in its 2021 budget.

The governor, who said this while featuring on a radio programme in Ibadan, said the state has been taking full financial responsibility of the institution since the beginning of the year 2020.

The Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission Professor Abubakar Rasheed had on Friday announced that it has transferred ownership of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH Ogbomoso to the Oyo State Government following amicable resolution of the ownership tussle.
