The governorship candidate of Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 poll in Kebbi State, Gambo Paul Tase, has said his party will defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the leading opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Briefing newsmen on Monday in Abuja, Tase said the APC and PDP have a history of failure in the state, hence the electorate would vote for the LP.

He said his administration would give priority to security, health, land resources/agricultural transformation, digital economy and wealth creation if given the mandate.
“Political parties that have governed us in the state have failed us. So what we need now is a change that will help us to grow as a state. We need a professional now; a technocrat that can turn Nigeria into a productive nation, and not a politician.
“Insecurity is the most serious socio-economic problem facing the state and the nation, and we intend to tackle it headlong.
“Emphasis shall also be on the delivery of primary health care facilities. The existing ones shall be adequately staffed, provided with drugs and other consumables at that level.
“Transportation systems, communication networks, sewage, water supply, waste management, power and energy systems, schools and hospitals would be rehabilitated and upgraded,” he said.
