A socio-political group, the Yayi Progressives Movement (YPM), has pledged to deliver the highest number of votes in southern Nigeria for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

The group made this declaration during its inauguration at Ake Palace Arcade in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where it also donated N1 billion and 27 campaign buses to support the governorship ambition of Solomon Olamilekan Adeola.

Speaking at the event, the Convener, Armstrong Tope Akintunde, said the movement would mobilize massively across Ogun State and the wider Southwest to ensure overwhelming electoral victories for Tinubu, Adeola, and Governor Dapo Abiodun.

Akintunde emphasized that YPM’s grassroots structure across all 20 local government areas would be deployed for intensive door-to-door campaigns, aimed at securing what he described as “100 percent votes” for the APC in 2027.

He added that the group’s ambition extends beyond Ogun State, noting that YPM is determined to produce the highest vote tally for Tinubu across southern Nigeria.

Akintunde, however, urged leaders and members of the group to start door-to-door campaigns in all the nooks and crannies of the state.

He added that apart from Ogun, YPM would mobilize massive votes for President Tinubu pointed in the southwest.

“Our votes will be the highest so far in the entire southern Nigeria. Yayi is 100%, Asiwaju Tinubu is 100% votes.

“We cannot do all that we have done without acknowledging the effort of leaders. Yayi Progressives Movement has come to stay, and following the directive of Gov Abiodun, we are going to deliver Ogun State.

“He has given us a matching order by making sure that come the 2027 election, Ogun State will deliver the highest vote in the entire southwest.

“Gov Abiodun has created a favourable political climate in Ogun. His positive impact on our state as the Chief Security Officer is a historic milestone in the life of Ogun State politics”, Akintunde said

Also speaking, YPM Coordinator Segun Kaka commended APC leaders for adopting Adeola as the party’s consensus governorship candidate and assured that the group would stand firmly behind both Adeola and Governor Abiodun.

He also commended Gov. Dapo Abiodun, assuring that the group will mobilize and stand strongly behind him.
