The newly redeployed Zuba Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Sani Fodio, has said that the police will continue to partner residents and other relevant stakeholders as part of measures to tackle crime in the area.

Fodio, while speaking with our reporter yesterday in Zuba, stressed the need for community policing. He urged members of the public to synergise with the police to ensure protection of lives and property in the area.

He assured that the police under his watch would continue to uphold the ethics of policing which are built around protection of human rights of all individuals even as he worked hard to curb crime in the area.

He further solicited for the support of members of the public in volunteering credible information to the police, admonishing them to see crime fighting as a collective responsibility.

“And I want to also encourage residents of Zuba and its environs to complement the work of the police by giving credible information to the police about crimes committed since it is only by doing so that crime can be fought headlong.

“I also want to use this opportunity to urge residents of Zuba to go about their businesses without fear of harassment or molestation from any quarter,” he said.
