We’ll resolve our grievances internally – APC chairmen

The state chapter chairmen of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have agreed to resolve all issues raised in their September 23, 2019 communiqué internally in the best interest of the party and the nation.

The agreement was contained in a release signed and issued by the Publicity Secretary of the Forum of APC State Chairmen, Hon. Lawal M. Liman (Zamfara State APC chairman).

The deal was struck after a meeting held with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha and other critical party stakeholders.

The state chairmen had in September given a 10-day ultimatum to the Comrade Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee (NWC) to address their concerns including poor reward system in the party, abandonment of founding fathers, neglect of the entire party structure, and failure to produce a substantive national secretary after the exit of Mai Mala Buni, present governor of Yobe State.

Meanwhile the Secretaries to Government of APC States (SGSs) have asked states under the control of the governing party to initiate a national peace building and internal reconciliation process that would involve all stakeholders in the party and government. They said the initiative was necessary in view of the post-election issues in the party.
