Sunshine Stars, currently atop of the league standings on 71 points will put their title dream at the door post of another ambitious continental ticket aspirants, Kano Pillars placed fourth on 62 points in the last match day of the 2010/2011 season.

In llorin a fierce challenge for the domestic league throne will be brewing between NPL newcomers, Bukola Babes and second placed Dolphins with 70 points.

Ogunbote who is already settled in the ancient city of Kano for the make or burst tie told SuperSport.com that they will take their chances against Pillars and think less of proceedings in llorin.

“We want to concentrate on our game against Pillars not minding the result in llorin between Bukola and Dolphins.

“A good result for us in Kano will rubbish the result in llorin.

“We are expecting a good game and are also making sure we do not allow any pressure to crop up on the players.

“We’ll approach the match normally,” he said.

Ogunbote, who led his wards to a semifinal finish in the 2011 Caf Confederation Cup, informed SuperSport.com that his lads are keen to write their names in gold.

“The players know what is at stake, they don’t only want to win the league crown for the first time with Sunshine which will be history but also eager to write their individual names in gold,” he said.
