Weststar Nigeria Limited opens Abuja Office
Mr. Schmand who has had experience in Anamco for five years was brought into Weststar to help build more customers’ relationship and generate more sales with his experience. Weststars’ facility is more of a workshop to run maintenance and repair to a certain level. So far the services offered are provision for genuine parts, mercedes-benz mobile van, truck maintenance management, telediagnosis. Mr. Schmand told the media that Weststar will extend its services all the way to Sokoto and is capable of taking up difficult tasks within its capacity. Mr. Schmand who has been in the automotive business in Nigeria for at least 20 years in Nigeria relies on a team that has stays with him from as far back as 1992. Mr. Schmand told Sunday Trust the secret of having a successful team which is “trust”.
So far Weststar has in stock genuine parts for the Nigerian market and has received patronage from local repair shops. The telediagnosis service is done online with direct links to Mercedes Benz and Chryslers’ data base. Mercedes data base can handle cars as old as 1983 models according to Mr. Schmand.
Mr. Schmand has mentioned a showroom will be place in the heart of Abuja metropolis in the near future.
