Rural areas in the southwestern states have benefited from multi-billion Naira worth of projects, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, has said.
The projects include water dispenser, solar light, road construction, electricity transformer, schools, primary healthcare and other developmental projects.
Speaking at the inauguration and handing over of a mini water treatment plant, Adeoje-Kuola community in Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, the minister said the federal government has several projects geared towards improvement of livelihood, agricultural development and empowerment of our farming communities.
The minister who was represented by the South West Zonal Director of the Federal Ministry, Mrs Oguntuyi-Abimbola Omolara, charged all the benefitting communities to properly maintain the facilities.
