What is the use of student’s portal in ABU?

Many students believe that since the portal contains a segment of results and where lecturers can post assignments, why the manual method of pasting results on departmental boards should be used.
Even if results must be released manually, why can’t it be in form of transcripts to be given to students through their various course advisers? Agreed, the issue of result is very private to every student.
Results can get to students at the end of the semester either through their staff advisers or through their portals since the portal makes provision for this.
Also talking about the insufficient use of the students’ portal, student pay money in some departments in order to get their transcript or result printout, which should not be so.
