From my own point of view, it is all politics. Politics in the sense that he is trying to fight those who are in position and will not give them the opportunity to return to their posts. They see him as a danger and a threat to them. The second aspect the Senate is making it as if he has skeletons in his closet. However, if he did not and had a clear conscience, nothing can stand in his way. If you’re going to do a job, come with clean hands so that you can do it well. You can’t claim to be clean outside when your own home is dirty.

We have had a lot of people prosecuted and a lot of loot recovered with cases such as Andrew Yakubu, Alex Badeh and many others. At least he is fighting corruption the way he knows how. As such, eventually, he will expose some of the senators so they are trying to put a stop to it before it happens. He is doing his best and putting our own interests first. But unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the Senate. They are all selfish people that pretend that they are doing what’s right for the country.

The whole thing is quite frenzy. I am on a radical side of things and I don’t believe in the way the system is being governed. The whole system is a rogue element kind of system. When I say a rogue element I am describing a situation where rogues are so boxed up and are in the corridors of power. So these rogues decide what happens in the society and the society gradually becomes a product of their chaotic making. We are in a society where the good come into office with the support of the majority but cannot do their jobs of making lives better but the rogues who forced their way in get their way. People are so greedy and see nothing in what they are doing or what they have done. All these politicians that have been locked away are the same people that will come and take power and control the country tomorrow. The whole of the National Assembly is a replica or a representation of indiscipline. They have no sympathy for the masses and this man came with good intentions and was doing the job he was meant to do as the EFCC Chairman. In regard to the case of Magu, they have confirmed for us that the National Assembly should just cease to exist or make the office voluntary for those who come with good intentions, are morally upright, decent and honestly want to serve this country and represent the interests of the nation.

We kept hearing of arrests but we didn’t see any action actually taken. The trials are either on hold or they are released on bail. And I also feel like the whole rejection was politicized a lot.

In my opinion, he was getting the job done to the best of his ability but there are some few hidden secrets. I remember Senator Shehu Sani saying something the President uses insecticide for members of other parties but uses deodorant for people of his own party. So it is something similar to this that got him sacked. To some extent, we give credence to the presidency that as far as there are people that are not good or credible, they should not hold sensitive public offices.
