What Supreme Court ruling meant for Zamfara security – CSOs

The Coalition of Civil Society Network of Nigeria (CCSNN) has said that the Supreme Court ruling validating the election of Governor Dauda Lawal, would strengthen the governor’s resolve to tackle insecurity bedeviling the state.

The coordinator of the network, Comrade Muhammad Sadiq, at a media briefing Sunday in Abuja said that the group remained dedicated to promoting civic education, transparency, and accountability in governance.

“We celebrate the affirmation by the highest court because it reinforces the trust citizens place in the judiciary to adjudicate electoral matters transparently and impartially. We commended the justices for their dedication to the constitutional process and their tireless efforts in safeguarding the integrity of our democratic system.

“This ruling would accelerate development of Zamfara and also tackle insecurity and other challenges facing the state as the governor would now dedicate himself and his administration to delivering on his mandates and other dividends of democracy,” Sadiq said.
