While major changes are unlikely for 2026, consumers might see minor refinements in technology, potentially improved fuel economy, and possibly new colour options or special editions.

Performance
It is projected that the 2026 Camry is set to retain the hybrid powertrain introduced in the 2025 model.
It has a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine paired with electric motors. The front-wheel-drive version is expected to produce 225 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive variant will offer a slight boost to 232 horsepower.
All models will likely feature a Continuously Variable Automatic (CVT) transmission, so don’t expect too many surprises on the performance and specs front.
Fuel economy figures for the 2026 model are not yet available, but they should be similar to or slightly improved over the current model.
The Camry has always been known for fuel efficiency, so we trust we’ll get solid mpg ratings from the 2026 model year.
Interior
The 2026 Camry’s interior is expected to carry over from the 2025 redesign. Drivers and passengers will find a modern cabin featuring a split dashboard design and a flowing centre console.
The air vents and touchscreen are integrated seamlessly into the dash, creating a clean and sophisticated look. The Camry continues to offer two rows of spacious seating, with higher trims featuring premium materials for added luxury.
Tech and safety features
The standard tech features expected include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charging pad.
On the safety front, the 2026 Camry is expected to come equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0, a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features.
This includes forward collision warning which is a safety feature that uses sensors, like radar or cameras, to monitor the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you; automatic emergency braking which can slow the car down, or brake to a complete stop, if the driver is about to crash into a vehicle in front of him/her.
Others are pedestrian detection, which utilises sensors and advanced technology to identify pedestrians and potentially alert drivers or automatically brake to prevent or mitigate collisions; adaptive cruise control; a driver-assistance system that automatically adjusts a vehicle’s speed to maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and traffic sign recognition, among others.
Additional safety features like blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and automatic high-beam assist should further enhance the Camry’s safety credentials.
