Explaining his work, Muyiwa Akinwolere, whose four dimensional art pieces impacted the audience deeply describes his art as Adiitu meaning mystery in Yoruba. Adiitu as an art form he said is considered as four dimensional art because it is the pictorial depiction of the oracle of Olodumare, who dwells in the fourth dimensions.

Chike Obeagu co-founder and creative director of For Artists by Artists (FAbA), known for the brilliance and energy reflected in his works said, “”the igbo saying that things are in twos, provide the basis for my works which are the final result of the processing of diverse thematic materials and ideas derived from the unfathomable mysteries of existence.”His works carried elements of environment, interactions, experiences, encounters, events, visions, prophesies, joys, excitements, anger, frustrations as well as other attributes of life which are interpreted around elements of dualism.

With works confronting a multitude of societal issues, he seeks to bring about true social change. Art for him is a tool for education, agitation and social critique.

Edo born Bob-Nosa Uwagboe is a young tireless experimentalist with thought provoking themes usually lined with a spark of anger, pain, passion and vision. With installation pieces such as ‘The decaying head’ he evokes emotions by his use of diverse materials which initially seem unconnected. But he succeeds in challenging his audience into deeper conversation and engagement with his pieces.

For Uwagboe, art as a process is a gift of time and a privileged indulgence.

Known for his connectivity art, Ike Francis Okoronkwo displayed works assuming three dimensional qualities with a sense of tactility derived from diodes, transmitters and such materials extracted from motherboards of radios and computers.

Greatly influenced by Prof. Chike Aniakor, Okoronkwo has over time, explored the use of computer discards and other used materials from the print-world to make conceptual statements on the emerging dominance of new information technology.

Uche Uzorka like the other participants showed thought provoking works which engaged the guests in deep arguments as regards his materials and the thought behind his pieces.

According to the creative director of the gallery, Jeff Ajueshi, there are few disparities when the word collocation is used in the context of the exhibition. Unlike the dictionary meaning of the word, this is the first time these artists are coming together to exhibit. Their participation is a lead in the trend of highly experimental artists and are among key players in contemporary Nigerian art.

Their works draw in his opinion draw to varying degrees on two key strands of recent art: They combine fresh aesthetic sensibility with constructive approach to productive overlap between art and design, and the development of new modes of critical art practice.

All artists have exhibited widely and interacted with artistes from across the globe as their works have sometimes served as models for public re-orientation.
