We have done everything possible to make sure that these entitlements are paid to us, but we are yet to receive them. That is why we have chosen this medium as our last resort to appeal to him and his office to do something about our plight. Initially, we were posted to Borno State, but due to the insecurity situation in the area, we were redeployed to Benue State where we undertook a 3-week orientation course. Relocation must be given free to us because no one would be posted to Borno because of the situation there.
But unfortunately to us we were relocated to Sokoto Instead of Kano.
From Sokoto we sought relo-cation to Kano, based on medical ground. Since we came back to Kano, we have not received our allowances. We sponsored ourselves to offer the service to humanity in our various PPAs, and it is now five months since the completion of the national service, without receiving our allowances. Whenever we asked the NYSC Kano secretariat, we would be told that ‘the problem is from Abuja’.
That is why we the affected members have decided to contact Abuja vie this medium as our last alternative. Some of us have already applied for PGD courses and master’s programmes with the belief that this money would be paid to us in arrears. Only two weeks now remains for some of us to register. If not, they risk the withdrawal of the offer of admission. We strongly believe that the NYSC national secretariat will do something about this.
