The 26-year-old backtracked over a previous decision and sang over some pre-recorded vocals while her husband Ashley Cole and Girls Aloud bandmates were sat in the audience. Cheryl admitted she was “gutted” when her protege became the latest X Factor contestant to be voted off the show. Simon Cowell had the deciding vote and chose to keep Rachel Adedeji in the competition.
