The Registrar of Abutech Training Academy, Abuja, John Aiyemenre Iyoha has said A Level examinations including those organized by Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB)‎, the Cambridge and Interim Joint Matriculation Board‎ (IJMB) are more viable options for many candidates seeking admission into universities.
He said students who obtained the required marks in A-level exams were admitted into 200 levels in universities.
Mr. Iyoha, who made the remarks in an interview with Daily Trust, said the number of students seeking admission into universities through the UTME was high and the numbers of universities are limited but candidates passing through A Level programmes such as IJMB were limited in ratio and faced limited competition threats. 
 “A’ level program students have superior knowledge and upon successful completion of the program candidates were admitted into Level 200 by direct entry without writing the UTME.”
He said the Academy prepared students for advance level qualifying exams and ‎only candidates with five O’ level credits including Mathematics and English were admitted. The duration of study was eight months.
He said qualified lecturers are employed by the school to handle lessons including part time lecturers from universities and colleges of education while “since inception in 2012 students have performed well in the exams and secured admissions in various institutions.”
