Considering the fact that 2019 general election is fast approaching, I will like to express my personal views on why PMB must be retained by Nigerians. My opinions are not based on any kind of sentiment or mental feelings, but on facts and figures which are clarion and luminous to all Nigerians, safe for the passionate and biased ones who are prejudiced. Any person who is blindfolded or occluded by excessive animosity and unjustifiable envy cannot see any good in the others. As such my assessment of PMB is going to focus on his distinguishing characteristic or quality of his personal nature; for instance incorruptibility, sincerity of purpose, foresight, patriotism and selflessness. These traits are intrinsic in PMB. The presidential primary election which took place on Friday 28/09/18 attests to these facts. Buhari is still needed by Nigerians. This is what the election is telling us. Voters all over the country from various backgrounds, religions, ethnic groups and regions re-voted PMB for the next four years insha Allah, despite the concerted and collaborated efforts of his detractors and opponents.

Muhammadu Buhari is the only person who held six exalted, juicy and lucrative positions in the country and still remained an average person in terms of wealth. We are all clearly abreast of this fact. He was one time a governor, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Minister of Petroleum, Petroleum Trust Fund PTF chairman, military Head of State and now president of the country. Each one of these positions is enough to make one a billionaire.

Nigerians, if we want this country to be repositioned, we want our economy to come out from recession and entanglement, we want our foreign reserve to grow day after day so that our Naira will appreciate, we want to be self reliant and sufficient agriculturally to produce enough food to feed ourselves so that we should not depend on India, Thailand or Cameroun, if we want our country to be respected internationally so that we can answer our names-the giant and leader of Africa, we must revote PMB. Going by his achievements so far, Buhari has done to Nigeria what they did not do in the last 16 years before his advent. This assertion is axiom and postulate, needs no proof. Buhari is the first Nigerian leader who was acclaimed by African Heads of State. He is the first Nigerian president who was applauded by the American president for his fight against corruption.

Buhari’s government is the most stable and anchored one in the recent times in this country. Since this government’s coming on board, there has been no reshufflement. It is obvious that in any country where there are no many changes in her ministerial appointment, it means that that country enjoys stability, progress and development. This is one of the secrets behind Buhari’s ability to take  Nigeria from economic recession, as everything goes steady and free from unnecessary adjustments.

Today, the posture of this country which was tilted towards collapsing and kneeling down socially and economically because of insecurity and malfeasance or graft, has now been made upright by PMB’s government. Before the advent of the present administration under PMB, Boko Haram was ruling most parts of the Northeast. More than half of the local government areas in that region were in their hands. They were about to take control of the whole Borno, Yobe and Adamawa. According to my personal assessment and estimation of the situation, at the rate Boko Haram was scoring victory, I have no iota of doubt that if the last administration was able to sail through, by now more than half of northern Nigeria would be in their hands. We thank Almighty Allah and this government for no single village is now in the hands of the scoundrel lots. Maiduguri is now free and peaceful. One can move to any place at any time without fear or consternation, while in the past everybody ought to be indoors at 6pm.

Today our gallant and courageous soldiers are well equipped and well armed. One can see this in their audacity to degrade Boko Haram. They have now restored and re-established their lost glory. Sure they are now power to be reckoned with. If one compares the effort of the present administration in terms of security provision to the previous administration just the difference is like the distance between the earth and the heavens.

PMB is the first president in Africa to come out boldly and audaciously to wage vehement war against corruption and immorality, as a result of which Nigeria recovered a lot of money. Nigerians should note the anarchist who takes cover under the artificial herdsmen/farmers crises to foment trouble and cause unrest in the country out of envy and animosity. They are doing so because of their irrelevance in the country. These people were those who incited the others to attack Fulani on the Mambila Plateau and Gembu where more than 800 Nigerians lost their lives. These few so called elders were the ones who instigated their followers in the past to kill the others in Zangon Kataf, Jos and Tafawa Balewa in Bauchi. We thank Almighty Allah that their secrets have now started being revealed. Those who were arrested in Benue confessed that it was the government who armed them, and another concrete evidence is a former governor was arrested in connection with the Benue killings. My fellow Nigerians, do not allow your minds to be deluded by these bunch of chaotic and cantankerous lots for if any mishap happens in this country, they will flee overseas, as Nnamdi Kanu did.

The security situation has improved generally in the country. The Kaduna-Abuja road has become secure to a large extent and so in the other parts of the country. New roads are being built and the uncompleted ones are being completed all over the country. Some of these uncompleted roads had been abandoned for more than 10 years e.g. Kano-Maiduguri road.

Obasanjo accused PMB for inapt and inept or incapability and IBB asked new brigades to take over. I will like to ask what these two men consummated of achievement in this country during their era? To us, all we know, were mass killing in Zakibiam Benue State, Odi Delta State, Zangon Kataf Kaduna State, Tafawa Balewa Bauchi State and so on. We want to know, who started devaluing Naira? We want to know who first introduced austerity measures in this country? In other words, Structural Adjustment Programme (SAP). Nigerians, we have no other than Buhari if we really want this country to be developed and come out of the woods.
