Dangaladiman Lafia, Dahiru Abdullahi Othman, has said that former Inspector general of Police, Mohammed Adamu, is the best contender to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule in 2027.

Othman stated this during an interview with journalists on Tuesday in Lafia.

Recently, the former police boss declared interest to contest the 2027 governorship election in the state on the platform of the All progressives Congress (APC).

Commenting on the development, the community leader said Mohammed Adamu has what it takes to lead Nasarawa State in 2027.

He added that the former Inspector General of Police can bring his policing experience to bear in ending challenges in the state.

Othman stated that Nasarawa youth are yearning to see the former police boss contest in the 2027 governorship election in the state.

He said, “I urge all the people of Nasarawa to put the state first in all their dealings. We all have responsibilities to take our state to greater heights. For this, all selfish interest should be put aside. Let us support an experienced and a strong candidate who has the capacity to consolidate on Governor Abdullahi Sule’s gains.

“Mohammed Adamu is good enough to succeed Governor Abdullahi Sule. Why because he has the capability, ability and the composure to perform the job.

“The former Inspector General of Police is an expert and an international police officer. Therefore, he has everything that can warrant him to perform this job effectively and efficiently.

“The issue of security is everybody’s business; but if you have somebody like Mohammed Adamu on top of the issue, I know he is going to be very proactive. Within a tinkle of an eye, the miracle is within the cycle of his heart. He can perform this job objectively without any suspicious intent.

“Nasarawa youth are seriously yearning for the former IGP of police to come into this contest, because he has everything leadership requires.

“I am a leader in my community. I believe Mohammed Adamu is going to be the best choice to replace Governor Abdullahi Sule. This is the reason you see groups are coming out every day to throw their support behind him.”
