Why I Am Joining Kwara Reps Race – Philanthropist

Ilorin Emirate born philanthropist, Ambassador Ibrahim Tajudeen Olesin, has declared his intention to contest for the House of Representatives.

He is seeking to represent Ilorin East and Ilorin South federal constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Olesin made the declaration when he visited his ward in Ilọrin in line with party procedures.

The declaration was attended by party members and supporters from the constituency, marking the start of his engagement with stakeholders ahead of the 2027 general election.

Speaking at the event, Olesin said his decision to join the race was driven by a desire to serve and contribute to legislative representation at the National Assembly.

“I am joining this race to serve the people and to ensure that their voices are heard in the legislative process,” he said.

He added that his focus would be on providing representation that reflects the needs and aspirations of constituents across Ilorin East and Ilorin South.

Olesin also said he chose to begin his consultations at the ward level to engage directly with party members and leaders as the process unfolds.

He added that his ambition was rooted in his longstanding engagement with community based initiatives and desire to expand such interventions through legislative representation.
