The founder and chairman, Governing Council of Nacabs Polytechnic, Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Chief Mandy David Abuluya, said he awarded 150 scholarships to help families that are struggling to send their children to school.

He told Daily Trust that the scholarship programme has so far enrolled students for the National Diploma programme.

“I know many families are struggling to even feed their children and are unable to send them also to school. My goal is to help these kinds of people, give them hope and help them achieve their dreams,” he said.

Chief Abulluya noted that another motivation was to encourage people of northern Nigeria to take up courses in Science and Technology because there is a lack of the combinations among students seeking admission.
