Ali Pate

Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Muhammad Ali Pate has disclosed that he will not contest the 2027 Bauchi State governorship elections.
Pate who made this known in a video . message aired by Bauchi based media platform Labari Daga Bauchi on Facebook, said he has decided to prioritize national service rather than persinal ambition.
Pate explained, “I am very much aware of the calls by our people across the nooks and crannies for me to join the governorship race, but this is also a time that it appears my service is needed beyond Bauchi.
“There is no doubt that the people of Bauchi State have shown great love. They have asked me to contest for the governorship position in the 2027 general elections.”
He said Nigeria needs contributions and support to be rebuilt nationally and not just at the state level adding that, “I want to assure you that candidates we support are individuals of integrity and committed to the well-being of our people and not those who only appear during elections and disappear afterwards.”
