The deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, has said that his non-profit organisation, Ikeoha Foundation, offers scholarship to students to pay for their education. 

Addressing a crowd at Ikeoha Foundation Adult Literacy Day in Udi Local Government Area, Enugu State, Ekweremadu said he expended N38.5 million on 18 university undergraduates across the 17 local government areas of the state. 

According to him, 300 students were also part of the beneficiaries who received bursaries of N40,000 each while nine others got empowerment items such as sewing machines and motorcycles.
