The member of Home-based Super Eagles told Feverpitch that when he was approached by the reigning NPL champions, he laid the cards on the table for them but in the end, they were not able to meet up with what was offered him by Rangers.

Sani said even as money is not everything, it is something worth taking into consideration when one is discussing his future.

According to him, it was not very difficult for him to settle for Rangers because the coach of the team and the management gave him every reason to believe that they are serious and interested in securing his services.

He said even before the end of the season, coach, Okey Emordi was in constant touch with him and when the season ended, he made sure he travelled to Enugu to discuss terms with the club.

Sani said by recruiting some of the best players in the country, the club has proved that it is ready to vie for the CAF Champions League trophy and he would be happy to be part of glory seeking team.

“I am happy with my move to Rangers. They offered me what I could not resist. Kano Pillars also approached me but when I explained to them what Rangers has accepted to give me, they could not match it.

“I accepted Rangers because the club showed so much interest in me. Immediately the season ended, the coach personally talked to me. Arrangement was made for me to travel down to Enugu for discussions. I think I have made a good bargain”.
