Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has said the state is building Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) ultramodern secretariat in Calabar, to encourage unionists to cultivate research and study habits. He stated this while inspecting some projects under construction in the state capital.

The governor, who expressed satisfaction over the judicious use of funds by NLC, released another N50 million to complete the Labour House project. 

“I want to see that this Labour House in Calabar becomes the cynosure of all eyes, where labour experts, researchers, labour tutors, among others can come from all walks of life to do their studies here and also relax,” he added.
